Research Methods and evaluation of the literature

Introduction

The study analyses the effectiveness of the health professionals and support workers on managing the quality of the services to support the adults with intellectual disabilities. Through this paper, it is possible to understand the strategy of improving working proficiency so that the health and social care service workers can be successful in providing quality services and proper care to the adults with disabilities (Haines and Brown, 2017). It the important for the health and social care workers to maintain quality, improve knowledge and technical skills and provided proper support to the society. Hereby, the health and social care professionals as well as support workers play an important role in maximising the quality of the services and improve the living standard of the adults who are suffering from intellectual disabilities. The article is therefore helpful to represent qualitative research findings regarding the health and social care professionals as well as other staff members who are trying to enhance the quality of their support for improving the living condition of the adults with disabilities (GB Parliament, 2012).

Evaluation of chosen method

The literature review in these articles provides an opportunity to develop proper knowledge and skills for understanding the health care service and the tactics of the service workers to enhance the quality of the health care service. As per the literature, it has been seen that, the upper level managers in the health and social care institution try to arrange effective training and development program so that it is possible to train the service providers and staff members so that they are able to deliver high quality health service and proper care as per the needs and preferences of the patients (Graves, 2007). It is important to acknowledge the actual health issues and analyse the previous health records of the adults before treating them. In this context, in order to conduct proper diagnosis, it is necessary to train the staff members. Hereby, professional training is necessary in the health and social care to diagnose the patients and improve the service quality in long run.

in addition to these, the literature review also explores that there need proper cooperation and communication among all the staff members and health care professionals as the health and social care service is a team work where all the workers needs to collaborate with each other properly. Without proper collaboration and interaction, it is difficult for them to manage the patients and great them carefully (Rayner et al., 2014). In this regard, the literature review is therefore beneficial to understand the concept and strategies of improving the quality of the health and social care service so that it is easy to improve the health condition of the adults who are suffering from serious disabilities. As per the review of literature, it has also been stated that there needs proper relationship and negotiations between the professionals and support workers for improving managerial efficiency, maintaining cultural values, enhancing positive attitude of the team and fulfilling the goals and objectives cooperatively (Reeves et al., 2010). The health and social care professionals are therefore playing essential role in providing effective training program which is important for the support workers and other staff members to cooperate with each other and enhance their performance in long run.

In this regard, in order to analyse the above mentioned topic, the researcher has chosen the qualitative research technique so that it is possible review important literature and analyse teh information proficiently for understanding the above mentioned research topic. The researcher has collected the secondary sources such as books, journals and articles in order to understand the perspectives of other researchers in order to evaluate the working process of the health professionals and staff members with the support workers. There are several advantages of using qualitative research which provides a scope to analyse the research topic successfully (Ingham, 2011). The subject materials and keywords of the topic of the dissertation can be evaluated with greater detail as the researcher tries to gather a variety of articles and journals in order to gain more knowledge for successful analysis. Moreover, the qualitative data is based on the human experience and observation which are important to understand the research topic in deeper sense. The researcher in this paper utilise 7 articles in order to identify proper information and data for analysing the working strategic planning of the health and social care service providers with the help of service workers so that it is easy to maximise the value of the adults with intellectual disabilities (Jingree and Finlay, 2008).

Personal experience and observation are useful to disclose the topic and analyse properly. Availability of proper data authenticity of information and proper structure provide an opportunity to conduct the research more proficiently. Creativity and innovation in the analysis is also useful for the researcher to represent the ideas and results in more unique manner which can be beneficial to acknowledge the research topic. Small sample size and accuracy are helpful to conduct the research successfully. In this present case, the researcher tries to conduct qualitative data analysis by evaluating the research topic on the basis of the secondary data (Keeping, 2014). In this regard, different literature review related to the health and social care service are helpful to gain the idea of the practice and strategic planning of the health and social care professionals and their planning to work with the support workers.

There are also some disadvantages of using the qualitative research as the researcher sometimes cannot access the quality literatures due to authentication problem and copyright as well as secondary research is quiet time taken activity. Hereby, it is difficult for the researcher to identify proper data and information which are helpful to analyse the present research topic. The findings can be time consuming as well as it is difficult to present in visual ways. In addition to these, the issue of confidentiality and anonymity can be a serious problem in representing the collected data. Moreover, data rigidity is more difficult to maintain and the research is heavily dependent on the skills of the researcher and the data can easily be influenced by the researchers. Though there are several advantages of using the qualitative research, it is useful in this paper to understand the strategic planning of the health and social care professionals in working with the service workers in order to maixmise the quality of the service for the adults with intellectual disabilities.

Ethical considerations

Ethical consideration is one of the major concerns of the research while doing the qualitative research. It is important to maintain research ethics during using the presentation and information of other researcher. Protection of the collected data is important for the researcher and the researcher needs to ensure that the collected data are utilised only for academic research not for other purpose. In addition to these, anonymity of the individuals and organisations are also needed to be maintained without which the research may face difficulties in using the data (Koski et al., 2010). The researcher also needs to maintain honesty and integrity in using the data in own research and apart from that transparency need to be maintained in doing the research ethically. Managing justice ion the research process is also necessary where it is possible for the researcher to avoid exploitation and abuse of the participants in the previous research.

The negotiation with the researcher is also another important strategy to manage the data and information and the researcher can support further process of conducting the research with proper data. In the qualitative research, the researcher also needs to maintain confidentiality, conformability and documentation in using the secondary information collected from the other literature sources. In order to conduct the research ethically, it is necessary to handle confidentiality and manages the collected data so that no one can use the information in negative purpose. Sometime the nursing students and other health and social care institution utilise the data for improving their quality and managing their staff and it is the responsibility of the researcher to protect the data so that the information cannot be used for other purposes. In this regard in the health and social care research, ethical consideration is a serious concern for all the researchers where data rigidity is tough to maintain (Tredinnick and Cocks, 2014).

Analysing the findings

As per the finding, there need proper leadership style and effective managerial practice that can manage the workforce successfully. Working with partnership is one of the main solutions where it is possible for the health and social care providers to work with the service workers and maximise the organisational service quality for delivering high value to the adults with intellectual disabilities (Tredinnick and Cocks, 2014). Sharing of information and knowledge with other workers is also necessary to enhance the creativity and skills of all the service providers so that they can serve better care and treatment to the adults (Haines and Brown, 2017). In this regard, internal communication plays a crucial role in enhancing capability of the staff members in the health and social care institutions where they can work as a team and maximise a common goal of providing high quality service and proper care to the individuals (Haines and Brown, 2017).

Mutual understanding among the staff members and professionals is also necessary where they know their own roles and responsibilities. Mutual understanding and concern regarding own responsibility are therefore contributing factors in enhancing the quality of the health and social care service of the professionals and service workers (Haines and Brown, 2017). Being realistic and managing regular contact as well as negotiation among the service workers and health and social care professionals are also helpful where they aim at maximising service quality of the institution so that it is easy to improve the health condition of the adults suffering from intellectual disabilities (Koski et al., 2010). It has also been found that, the staff members need to understand the values and attitude of the organisation and all the members must contribute in maximising organisational values through cooperation and innovation.

In this regard, motivating the staff members is necessary to encourage them and retain them for long run for gathering more knowledge and skills to serve the social communities uniquely (Haines and Brown, 2017). In this context, supportive culture and cooperation with all the staff members through open communication provides a scope to manage the working practice and enhance collaboration to deliver quality care to the individuals. Building corporate relationship with the members in the health and social care institution are also important which improves trust and loyalty among the health care professionals and service workers (Jingree and Finlay, 2008). In order to prove quality care and service, all the members need to cooperate and work as a team and in this context it is necessary to build trust among them. Hereby, open conversation, cooperation, positive attitude in the workplace as well as proficiency of the workforce are the main success factors in managing the quality of the service and deliver high quality health care service to the adults suffering from intellectual disabilities (Haines and Brown, 2017).

Conclusion

The study is helpful to understand that the health care professionals try to cooperate with the service workers in order to enhance the quality of the services for the adult who are suffering from the intellectual disabilities. Through qualitative analysis, it is possible to evaluate the research topic and draw effective conclusion regarding the strategic planning of improving service quality of the health and social care institution for improving the standard of living of the adults. It has been explored that, the health care professionals try to cooperate and interact with the social workers for providing the best quality service to the social communities. Through team building activities, managing organisational culture as well as motivating the staff members and partnership work with the service workers are effective strategic planning for improving the quality of the health and social care service./p>
